This is an older site that I recoded. I'm still working on the back end but the front should be ready. It's another test of my .NET CMS so if you see any errors let me know. Also please judge the look and feel and tell me if the page is unnecessarily heavy.
Thanks for your brutality.
Certainly looks tidy, however
Certainly looks tidy, however you are using that new fangled thing not due for release until some time around 2020.
You could stick anything you like in that markup really couldn't you? no formal schema so anything goes.
Until I hear that there is harmony and sense of purpose between those two warring camps I dislike the mere mention of HTML5.
<nav> why what point horrible ugly abbreviated expression ok as a token name but sounds wrong as a tag, where did 'menu' go? I'm unconvinced by this notion of defining areas it's extraneous markup that unless had a clear and definite purpose we would be telling people to lose and style the UL instead.
Hey, that's not very nice.
Hey, that's not very nice. PERFECT!!

i like the html5, way to keep moving forward!! We need to keep pushing forward! Im not a fan of all the movement going on though. nice clean structured code. The design could use some help.

That's what I'm thinking. Besides, it doesn't hurt to use the new stuff so why not?

I am thinking of slowing it down but honestly it's the one thing that everyone talks about on this page. People like spinny, shiny things. *sigh* It's sold two more jobs if you can believe that.
nice clean structured code.
No, no. That's too nice.
The design could use some help.
Yeah, I'm no designer but I do like minimalism. Is it just too plain? What do you think of my lawn work?

I like that one. It did take me a few moments to find the menu though.

Yeah, thats how it is designed. Its supposed to add to the whole incompetent dumb redneck persona. Like, who the hell hides their menu behind tall grass? Have enough common sense to trim the grass around the nav. Those dumb rednecks!! Thats not a "real" site, its just for fun.
about the dedign, i dont know. It just looks 90's with the boxy shapes, and gradients. I do like the logo!

I think you should see what
I think you should see what the site looks like without the container box border, or whatever. Spread the design out some. use the white space as a design aspect. Thats what minimalism is all about.

Yeah, I know where you're coming from. I just used a few of the semantic containers. None of the oddities like Canvas (?) or Audio (!?!).

Will add though have been meaning to find the opportunity to try working with it.
