Hi there, my name is Jordan Miller from House of Social, a social media networking company.

One of our clients gave us a list of changes this morning that need to be completed by the end of today - so I'm facing quite a time crunch.

I would be so grateful for any help with the few changes I am unsure how to make:

The website is currently http://premium.houseofsocial.com/

1. HIDE the sub-categories on the main navigation menu. They're below the main categories by default, how can I either
A. hide those tabs or
B. create a custom wordpress page template using this theme and add the content in there

2. Change the font on the main menu to match the blue SUV button (should I make this an image?)

3. I need to add a banner underneath the 3 green categories (above the blue bar) on main page

4. Add a SUBMIT button to the calendars page: http://premium.houseofsocial.com/?cat=17

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much and take care,

Jordan Miller

Yes, I posted at two

Yes, I posted at two additional websites because I am under a heavy deadline. Is that against the terms?

It's just poor netiquette in

It's just poor netiquette in general. The second person to answer wastes his/her time.

For a start I'd suggest perusing the forum stickies and at least validating your code.

So you have a deadline

So you have a deadline problem. Why should we do extra work to help you with your problem for free? Especially when you violate our site posting guidelines and general net ettiquette.

Do you think we are your servants or something?

Can't help but feel that you

Can't help but feel that you are gathering a pay check from this client... and if you're a "social media" company, then I am sure by that factor alone, you are charging $100+ an hour... I can't help but feel that you should be able to afford to hire someone (at least a contractor) who can manage these types of issues for you.

Feel free to PM me, I'm sure we can work out something where we both make money off of your time-crunch crisis... you are charging them extra for on-demand changes and 8 hour turnaround, right?

I am actually an intern, and

I am actually an intern, and am doing this as a required part of my journalism and media studies major. A simple no would have been sufficient.

I highly doubt that.

Your an intern? yet

Your an intern? yet houseofsocial twitter account lists you as their editor?

Really and truly you are just telling fibs aren't you? anything to get work done by other honest hard working professional/semi professional developers.

The whole premise of your opening post is quite simply appalling, dishonest and insulting to the forum (and the others you copied the post to) and it's members; further it is posts like this that tend to make the established members question whether it's worthwhile 'helping' people.

houseofsocial is NOT a media company, that much is clear from the site.

The requirements you list are also suggestive of someone that hasn't a clue about coding, two of the points are absolute room 101 stuff the others utterly unreasonable to expect to achieve in a day regardless.

No respectable media company would accept that work on that turnaround nor would they give it to an 'intern' to achieve given the supposed urgency of the work

It is unlikely that you will receive any help from respectable forums as this post to your codingforums thread sums up:
http://codingforums.com/showpost.php?p=1001207&postcount=4

Please learn a little lesson from this thread and any other forums you have posted this to. You do yourself no favours posting like this, and get yourself and any other associated parties a bad rep doing so.
