Styling a Circular Logo within Thesis Header so it overlays the nav menu

Hi all,

I am looking for advice on styling a circular logo that is within my header. I have the logo styled in a widget that is only added to a specific page within the header (that page has it's own template in the skin editor) . The logo is exactly how I want it except I need it to drop down over the menu instead of under it. I have already tried z-indexing the menu and the logo and that renders the menu useless.

Here is what it looks like:

How to overlay navigation menu on image

I'm new here and was hoping you may be able to help please

Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere but I couldnt find any relevant posts.

I am trying to overlay the top navigation menu onto an image so effectively the nav bar is transparent.

Anyone know some CSS code that can do this please???

Thank you

Overlay black background color or image

I'm using wordpress and I've set it so whenever the user creates a new post with a featured image, that image displays on the front page. What I am trying to accomplish is that when the user hovers over that image , it will overlay a black bg. I thought my HTML was written in a way I could easily accomplish this, but I am having trouble figuring it out, and don't know how to proceed. Thoughts? (CSS is bare since nothing I've done has yielded any results)

transparent radial gradient issue

I'd like to create a fixed radial gradient (gray on the outside and transparent in the center) that is used as a fixed overlay on top of the entire website, to achieve a kinda 'spotlight' effect. I made this gradient in a .png-24 file and placed it in img class called gradient and set the z-index to 999.

Text overlay on image -- almost there (but need a little help)

On this test page, you can see I am trying to place a shaded overlay with text on an image. The problem is that the overlay is dropping below the image. I cannot figure out why. Any ideas?
