Jenson Buttons got 2nd place on the start line hasn't he, should guarantee a place on the podium but for the fact that you know his engine will blow up on the last lap![]()
Microsoft have revealed an alliance between the IE development team and the BAR Honda F1 race-team.
Patented IE methodology when a car cannot leave the grid under its own power:
There are three engineers in the pits; an electrical engineer, a chemical engineer and a Microsoft engineer. Suddenly the car just stops on the grid, and the three engineers look at each other wondering what could be wrong.
The electrical engineer suggests stripping down the electronics of the car and trying to trace where a fault might have occurred. The chemical engineer suggests that maybe the fuel is becoming emulsified and getting blocked somewhere.
Then, the Microsoft engineer comes up with a suggestion, "Why don't we close all the windows, get out, get back in, open the windows again, and maybe it'll work?"
IE decrees the lead driver's Windows XP IE BAR car *may* leave the grid, but...
This is a monster of a race-car. It looks great, a big improvement over the Windows 95 or 98 models, and it boasts a big "Highway Ready" sticker in the back window, which means you finally get to leave the grid. Then you press the big red "Go Internet" button on the dashboard. You wait for the g-force. Nothing happens for 10 minutes, then the square wheels fall off.
Hard luck, Jenson - try to drive for Apple i-Car next year
