Hacked

Ok I just made a very quick upgrade of the forum software, so let me know if you discover any errors.
The main problem seem to have been a session handling error that allowed anyone to have admin rights.

So apart from the upgrade I blocked the offenders IP address from the forums.

Sorry to anyone who received the email from this (can't swear on these forums)

If you have any phpBB forums make sure you upgrade ASAP.

Glad it was as simple to sort as upgrading the forum!

Lucky too that the perpetrator decided merely to show off, rather than do some serious damage! I wonder what havoc this exploit has allowed on other sites?

How are those backups looking?

Thought there was something up, glad to see that it doesn't appear to have caused too much chaos :roll:

I can think of one or two things I would like to do to little sh*ts like this....

Oh the Moderators group seems to be down, but your probably aware of that.

Looks like your correct,
I'll sort it all out eventually.

I'm downloading a 2 day old backup now which looks like it will take about 4 hrs.
It's just about midnight here now and I have to work tomorrow so I wont get to play with the backup till at least tomorrow night.

Looks like CSS Layouts will be on hold for a few days :roll:
Feel free to post to the other forums for you layout questions.

All the statuses (newbie, moderator etc) seem to be missing from udner the names.

On the plus side, I received an email telling me I'm a moderator . . . how nice.

Most of the forum should be back to normal.
I have restored the CSS Layout section and Ranks.

Let me know if you notice anything else I have missed.
