Tough call
This is a tough one to answer- you're the best one qualified to answer what should be added. Perhaps if you mention a general direction or purpose for the site... ?
One thing I didn't notice was a title... but who knows, perhaps you intend it that way.

I love the color scheme..
one thing tho, in Firebird 0.6.1, there's a black border around 'cool stuff' but it ends on the second to last line on the first paragraph, so the rest is unbordered - it doesn't look like what I think you probably intended...

Why so much blank space?
CSS is a very cool tool for making really robust looking websites. Don't feel like you are stuck with boring little boxes and dead looking borders. Enjoy the power of CSS!!!

thanks for the comments.
I still dont know what im going to do with the layout, but i do want to use it for something. I might use it for boxing news and related stuff, but i am not sure yet. But that is basically the layout format.
In IE6 the text is all in the box, so i have to work and see if i can fix it in Firebird.
Also, if you look at the source, you see that i am using positioning a lot 
is that a bad habit? and yes, making too many boxes gets boring 
do you guys have any ideas of the making something different other then boxes?
