http://www.sumaira.net

My sites still in development, and Ive checked it on IE6, Net7, Net6, Net4.7 (where it totally falls apart) all on a PC. Ive also checked it on a Mac using IE6 where the sidebar seems to disappear until you click on the page. And when you refresh the page, the sidebar disappears again.

If anyone else can confirm, add info to the above, that would be great. I plan on using a sniffer to tell people to upgrade their browsers when they hit my site, but Im still curious to see where else it falls apart.

Thanks Muchly! Smile
Sumaira

Need some browser checks!

Hi Sumaira,

Looks good under WinXP Moz1.2.1, IE6, and Netscape 7.01.

I need to install some more browsers :?

Hi Sumaira,
I'm a newbie and learning CSS. I like the nice clean design; nice clean and fresh.

Looks fine in Opera 7.11. I have popups suppressed though, so your popup links open in the main window - nothing you can do about that I don't think.

Nice job!

"Seriously."

Sven - Thanks for the browser check! Im trying to load up my machine on browsers too! Too bad IE doesnt let you load multiple versions. Ive been attempting to us http://www.anybrowser.com/siteviewer.html. Ever use it?

Andy - Thanks so much! Im glad someone liked my design. Im a full time web designer, but for some reason NEVER like what I design for my self. So for this blog, I decided to stick to KISS. (Keep It Simple Silly...) Smile

burkbum - Those icky popups....hehe. They are going away. Im totally not a fan of popups. Its pretty bad when my own site doesnt work here because I have a pop up stopper too!

Need some browser checks!

I hadn't seen that site before, but there's another similar one, the name of which has completely slipped my mind, and I can't find a link in the forum. Tony - you know the one!

It's great to have these sorts of resources available - makes testing that bit more effective.

I think BrowserCam might be what you were thinking of.

If you ask nicely, KnightWolfJK might submit your site for you.

That's the one!

You know, it could be useful to have a service that takes that concept and goes further - pay your fee, and have a human being manually trawl through the different rendering results, and flag the problem ones...

You rang?

Someone rang? Smile

I've submitted your main page at BrowserCam. Here are the screen captures: http://www.browsercam.com/public.aspx?proj_id=16399

I only used some of the available browsers. If you need more, let me know. For the record, I highly recommend BrowserCam, they offer a great service and seem pretty cool as well.

Enjoy...

Edit: removed the period from the URL

Just tried the link and I'm getting a 'Project does not exist' message.

Oops... I accidentally included the period in the URL. Smile Yet another reason why I should quit working night shifts... Try this

PS- I've noticed the BrowserCam error for the Mac screenshot- I'll give it a little more time and fire off an e-mail to BrowserCam if nothing changes.
