CSS for line break in Joomla module

Hi there. I’m trying to format the Joomla Newsbox module to work as my news page.

I wonder if you can help with the following:
1. How do I add a space between the news items, so there is a break between Read More and the next news item title?
2. Now do I control the CSS for the font colour on the text that appears beside it?

This is my code so far:

float: left;
width: 100px;
padding-top: 0px;
padding-right: 10px;
padding-bottom: 10px;
padding-left: 0px;
}
