I think your footer is too large... 125px seems a bit much to me.
Also am not sure about your header... seems like it is missing something...
Other than that well done

Very nice website i like the design, and your use of color.

I do have a couple of minor suggestions though

I agree rmfred you should half the footer, i would also try to incorporate some sort of picture/graphic in the header image on the left hand side.

Also the google ads are a bit imposing remember you really should have the most imported things on the left hand side of the page, at the moment the top google ad looks like it is more important than the opening text, I would look into maybe moving the ad until after the text.

I have reduced footer to half, thanks for suggestion.

About header.
I was thinking on using a search box on the empty left side of page's header. This is still a work in progress and at the present time would not be very helpful with only four articles I really need to add more soon. Thank you for the idea :idea: I will try to add a graphic there too.

About ads.
I have totally changed its position to make them less annoying.

The ads mess it up.

Don't bother with an image for the footer, just give it a background color and a top and bottom border - it will expan for the text to fill it and save bandwidth.

Like the idea of the logo, it sits very well.
Don't like the menu buttons looking lost?
Maybe add a blue 1px line along the bottom of the menu.
Or even change the position of them so they become part of the red section?
It looks like two different pages instead of one?

thepineapplehead, I tried, but it didn't look good , image have some degradation about 3 different colors. Thank you for your suggestions, ads definitely need a rearrangement.

Why don't you use a box with a border for the footer? It should be fine!
