I trolled old posts, didn't see these issues approached yet. If they've been covered and I missed it, sorry.
My account is set for auto-notification... Of my 12 posts so far I have yet to get an email about a post. It's not a huge deal, but I post to quite a few message boards and I lose track of posts quickly without e-mail notification.
Also, I've checked to make sure that "Disable HTML in this post" isn't checked, and HTML still doesn't work. <a href="for.example">test</a>

I will look into the auto-notification.
It would be good to here if others are having the same problem or if it is an isolated case.
The html that is enabled is very limited for security reasons basically <b><i><u><pre>
you can use BBCode to add links etc.

I did have a quick look at it but didn't make any changes apart from turning HTML on then off and saving the config files.
Also I did then turn HTML off for my last post so that I could show the available html tags.
I remember Sven having some problems with auto notification, I think it was his mail server rejecting the mail, (spam filter possibly) but in his case they would bounce back to me.
I haven't had anything bounce lately.
Anyone else using auto notify :?:

I use it for the private messages (never notice them otherwise) but I've never missed a mail for one of those.

When you are posting a message are you making sure that you have the Notify me when a reply is posted check box checked ?
Yes I DO get all the notifications.

Update... just FYI, e-mail notification for both PM's and Replies has been working solidly for about 3 days, maybe more.

I just discovered that all my notifications are being blocked by our company's spam filter because they begin with:
"You are receiving this email because..."
Getting the IT guys to change the filter is probably never going to happen, so if there is a chance this is affecting others it might be worth rewording the email somehow.

Hi d3signmonk3y,
The latest released versions of phpBB have made many changes which include fixes for email.
I'm going to be upgrading sometime over the next couple of weeks and shall look at adding making some other slight changes.
Hopefully the spam problem will disaper after the upgrade.
