INSPIRATIONKING

Well hello there, and thank you for reading my thread. I have recently reopened my Web design inspiration website, InspirationKing. Right now the only thing not working decent is the forum, which simply isn't there.

But say what you think!

- Idea
- Design
- Layout

Etc.

Thanks a bunch Smile

Hi

It's nice - just feel there's a lot going on... maybe it could do with a bit more whitespace?

And being reaaaaally fussy - could you include a focus link effect like the hover link effect?

My strategy is so simple an idiot could have devised it!

Hello Alex,

I agree with HellsBells regarding the need for white space. Or maybe a balance between the horizontal and vertical margins between thumbnails in the index and Gallery Archive pages. But maybe a change of layout would be better? Those pages are a bit tombstoned anyway.

I love the Grey, Maroon(?), Orange and White scheme. It seems to encourage your thumbnails to come out.

I think there's also something wrong with your "About InspirationKing" heading in the About Page-- it's too close to the left edge unlike the headings that you have in the other pages.

Additionally, a text link going back to the index page would be nice. It took a few moments for me to figure out that clicking on the banner would lead me back there.

By the way, I viewed the site in WinXP/Firefox. Cheers! Laughing out loud

I'll say something about the "idea" ... Do we really need another site showcase site?

I mean seriously... there's StyleGala, CSSBeauty and the CSSVault and countless others that you could find with a google search ... and already those 3 sites mentionned showcases the same sites. So why another one? What will yours offer that is different from all the others?
