Welcome to the forum raskel. For the avatar, click the 'profile' link in the Members Panel on the home page, then scroll down to the bottom. For the headings box, I haven't a clue what you're asking about! By the way: 'please' has two 'e's and an 'a' in it Wink

I would guess at both these questions possibly referring to fiendster profiles.

Please read this link if that is the case:

and this one on forum guidelines:

I think Tony needs to set up a button on the reply page that automatically copies those 2 links into your message cos I get the feeling they're going to be used rather frequently.

...so the question was about a different website altogether! Geeez, no wonder I couldn't get a grasp on what was being asked. I guess this lack of ability to express oneself in the context of the reader's perspective, and to write in plain English, is part and parcel of the negative side of the technical revolution. Ho hum!

Wouldn't it be far simpler if friendster just included the help info on their own site. Why are we taking responsibility for this???

Exactly the point I have made; it's called obviating their due responsibility I think.

But an email may wind up on friendsters desk offering this suggestion and perhaps letting them have use of that thread detailing their proprietary methods of customizing the profile pages that it took one of our members to draw up

I hope I've not made a monumental mistake by helping the helpless. Sad

It's going to snowball, I know it.

Uh, why does raskel not have a profile button? :?

I don't see that it can be regarded as a mistake but rather well spirited of you/us to go to those lengths; certainly nothing obliged us to.

I note, from not one of these posters -bar one- an acknowledgement of thanks for that effort.

As I have said, and now Roy; it's incredible that friendster.com have not got together a basic help page for their members after all it's all very well telling them that they can modify their pages but odd that then the basic instruction on how is not given, save seemingly for a link to this site so that we can have the pleasure of dealing with these muddled requests.

It's a strange (cyber)world.
