Hi there,
I'm not sure whether I'm posting this in the right section, but I couldn't find a jobs thread, so here it is anyway..
Ignite Online (www.igniteonline.com.au) is in need of expert freelance CSS/XHTML coders to help with converting PSD files to standards complient websites at a reasonable rate (Rates will be negotiated per contract)
We're looking for some solid examples of coding work (css in particular, Javascript/PHP/AJAX/MYSQL a bonus) that is cross browser/platform consistent, so if you think you've got the skills we're after, send some examples of your work to . Looking forward to hearing from you!
Regards,
Anthony

You couldn't find a jobs thread cos there isn't one! consequently the forum does not tend to get posts such as this.
If I may I must just ask why you are asking for a CSS XHTML coder that can code to 'Standards compliance'? Your home page has a quirks mode invoking DTD, markup errors, and a table based layout
'Reasonable rates' Never state this, what are reasonable rates? any professional jobbing coder will charge the 'going rate' stating reasonable just tends to suggest 'highest quality required , not prepared to pay for it'

Hi Hugo,
Thanks for your reply. I know what you mean re: the reasonable rates, I guess what I mean is that rates will vary per job, usually I take an estimate from a contractor, the price they think is fair, but depending on the budget/client that may not be feasible, in which case it is up to them if they decide to still help out, if the budget is there however, it won't be a problem.
Re: my the Ignite site, I realise it's table based etc etc, it's a couple of years old now and keeping on top of work for clients has been given priority over fixing it up. Which is exactly why I'm after an expert, I never claimed to be one myself.
There isn't a thread on this forum for job postings, but other CSS forums do have a jobs section and receive numerous job offer/request posts. It's not just me that is looking for skilled coders.
Cheers,
Anthony.
