hidden url

hi i posted a site for a check just now and the <a> showed up the url instead of converting it? did i do that incorrectly? i was trying to hide the url as they keep showing up in google searches for the client. Could that be corrected please - I wasn't able to change the post after it was up. (i did preview it but thought the link url would be hidden)

We have changed the input format so that html in posts needs to be in bbcode format.
