control over links in one column

Here's the site
I just want to be able to control the link-underline, link-font-family and link-colour within the center (or left hand white column) only without having to change that in each post.

You've got other problems you need to address first: you've got three doctypes on your page. Are you adding a doctype to all your theme files? It only needs to go in one - header.php.
