This looks like it will be really helpful for testing different IE Versions IE Tester.
I have just installed it on vista. With it you can have different tabs with IE 5.5, 6, 7 and 8 beta 1 all open at once. it is really simple to use and much better then starting a virtual machine just to test in different versions.
